These simple guidelines help preserve the sanctity of the temple and ensure a peaceful experience for all devotees.
Remove Footwear
Please remove your shoes before entering the temple sanctum. Shoe racks are provided at the entrance. Socks are welcome.
Maintain Silence
Keep conversations quiet and respectful. Mobile phones should be silenced. The temple is a place of prayer and meditation.
Photography Rules
Photography is permitted in the outer areas. Please do not photograph devotees during prayer or inside the inner sanctum without permission.
Respect the Sanctum
Do not touch the deities or altar items. Follow the priest's guidance during poojas. Prasad (blessed food) is distributed after ceremonies.
No Food or Drinks
Please do not bring food or beverages into the prayer areas. Water is available at designated spots.
No Smoking or Alcohol
Smoking, alcohol, and intoxicating substances are strictly prohibited anywhere on temple grounds.

The temple is located at 1 Unity Ave, New Modder, Benoni, 1501. Free on-site parking is available. Look for the magnificent temple tower visible from the main road.
Entering the Temple
As you enter, you will be greeted by the serene atmosphere of the temple grounds. Remove your shoes at the designated area before proceeding to the prayer hall.
The Prayer Hall
The main prayer hall houses the magnificent Shri Anantha Muthumariamman Murthi — the largest of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere. Take a moment to absorb the divine energy.
Offerings & Prayers
You may bring flowers, fruits, or coconut as offerings. The temple also provides flowers and prasad. Speak with the priest if you wish to participate in a pooja.
Pooja Participation
During poojas, devotees sit on the floor or on provided mats. Follow the priest's lead — chanting, offering flowers, and receiving blessings.
Prasad & Departure
After the ceremony, blessed food (prasad) is distributed to all devotees. You are welcome to spend time in quiet reflection before departing.
